Sarah Atwood

New FUn Gig!

July 13th, 2008 · 25 Comments

One of my favorite shows has hired me!!!! Starting tomorrow, I am a co-producer and entertainment correspondent of Epic-Fu. I am extremely excited about this new opportunity. I have watched Jetset/Epic-Fu grow and am truly a fan. I am beyond impressed with Steve & Zadi’s talents and fortitude. We all know how difficult it is to maintain a successful online series and they are doing it and doing it and doing it well. :)

I will mostly be behind the scenes but that is actually a place I enjoy. Segment producing is fun for me. I enjoy watching a project go full circle from concept to completion. PLUS…I get to put my detail-oriented, overly organized craziness to good use. Then, occasionally, I will be in front of the camera reviewing and reporting on fabulously fun entertainment goodies!

And here’s a little trivia for you…Rick Rey (producer for Epic-Fu) and I have worked together before. Infact, we were an adorable couple back in the 50′s. Hee hee, check it!

Epic-Fu is totally one of my favorite vlogs and I actually posted their first episode up on my own blog right after they changed their name. Zadi is awesome and a great host!

I am far more excited about this than you! Now one of my other favorite hosts – you! – will be on it too. What a great move for them and you!

I’m a little worried about Rev3′s acquisition of the show. For one…the new random guy they have thrown in front of the camera is kind of lame…sorry guy…I’m sure he’s nice, just not right for what is still Zadi’s show. Is he the producer?

    Congrats again!

Let’s take a little retrospective on my “Sarah Atwood, Not Appreciated Enough” Post…

“But I hope Sarah got Alex Albrecht’s attention because I can definitely see a placement for her on Revision 3—In fact, she’d be more than just a regular acquisition, she’d be an asset for a show due to her social media prowess.”

Oh and that observatory/museum in the black and white movie reminds me of the one in Rebel Without a Cause.

For the record, Rev3 didn’t hire me, Smashface Prods did (aka Steve & Zadi) AND…Alex & I have run into each other since the Mahalo thing and he totally admits to knowing how awesome I am!

Yes, that is THE observatory from Rebel. Some of the scenes shot and dialogue are exactly from the movie as well.

    See you on Mix!!

  • 24 mp // Jul 16, 2008 at 7:35 pm

YAY! Congratulations on the job! It sounds great and how nice that you get to be part of something you really like! The tin foil head pic made me laugh and the thumbnail of it made me think it was actually a pic of a crazy younger brother who was trying to glam up and look like you…(if you had a crazy younger brother…but I don’t think you do…) Anyway…best wishes from VT…see you soon…
